Unfinished Battles

Orchid had always been a dreamer. She knew what she wanted—to pursue her favorite course and build a life she could be proud of. With unwavering determination, she stepped forward, ready to fight for her goal.

But life had its own script.

She failed. Once. Twice. Thrice. Each attempt chipped away at her confidence, but she refused to give up. She decided to pursue an MBA, believing higher studies would give her another chance at her dream.

Then came love—a love that wasn’t love at all. He expected her to be a gem, flawless and bright, while he drained her like a leech, taking everything—her kindness, her money, her self-worth. She held on, thinking love meant sacrifice, but one day, the weight of truth crushed her. Love shouldn’t make her feel empty. So, she walked away.

Life didn’t stop testing her. She found a small job and adjusted herself, trying to make peace with what was left. But just as she was learning to stand, her body betrayed her. Weight gain, fatigue, weakness—why her? Among all, why did she have to suffer this too?

Still, she fought. She worked hard, hoping that one day, things would fall into place. She chased higher studies, clung to hope until her grip gave out. Eventually, she let it go, choosing survival over endless struggle. But the battle never truly ended.

Even after everything, she still waited.

Because some people fight for their goal, love, and happiness; some people give it off at some point; some people go with everything, but I can't go myself. Instead, I follow the flow of time.
