Tides of Sorrow
The island of Miravel was a land of seasons, each bringing its own song. Spring arrived with soft breezes and golden light, painting the cliffs with wildflowers and filling the air with the scent of salt and blooming jasmine. Winter wrapped the land in white snow, much like how humans conceal their sorrows and struggles beneath a quiet facade. Monsoon, with its terrifying and relentless storms, became a test of survival, as the people clung to hope, longing to see another day.
There was A boy and a girl were born together, growing up side by side, always supporting each other. As they stepped into adulthood, their bond remained unshaken. They were blessed with three children. The father, a captain and sailor, spent his life at sea, while the mother, a poet, found beauty in words. Their lives flowed smoothly, nurtured by the very sea that had always provided for them.
But then, a storm struck—not just the waves, but their hearts. They lost their youngest child to the sea, the very ocean that had once cradled them, fed them, and given them purpose. Now, it had taken away their joy, leaving behind an unfillable void.
The sailor, a man of the waters, bore the greatest burden. He had no choice but to continue sailing on the same waves that had swallowed his child. The sea, which once felt like a mother’s embrace, now loomed over him like a merciless demon, capable of both giving and taking in equal measure.
Yet, the people who live by the sea learn to endure. They wake up each day with the simple hope that the ones they love will return through the same door they left in the morning.
